Statutory Rape

Statutory rape means sexual intercourse between a person over age 18 and a person under 18, when the underage person voluntarily and with consent has intercourse with the person over 18. The law does not permit this, even if the people are in a relationship, as the law does not recognize “consent” for a person under 18.
